How the four weeks run

Four weeks, kickoff to launch.

Every project runs the same rhythm. The revision round sits in week two, and week four is the buffer that absorbs slip when anything lands late.

  1. Your time this week~2 hours
    Week one

    Kickoff and direction.

The kickoff call runs 30 minutes and covers your goals, your audience, and the sitemap. Sable Creative collects your brand inputs, confirms the scope in writing, and drafts the homepage wireframe. You leave week one knowing exactly what's being built and when.

    Sable delivers
    • A 30-minute kickoff call, recorded, with a written summary in your inbox same day
    • A confirmed sitemap covering every page, the navigation, and the URL structure
    • A scope document restating the pages, the timeline, and the price
    • A homepage wireframe for review on Friday of week one
    You deliver
    • Final page copy in a Google Doc or Word file (~30 min to share)
    • Logo files, brand colors, and any photography you have rights to use (~30 min)
    • One named decision-maker who can approve design and copy, not a committee
    • Availability for the kickoff call and the Friday wireframe review (~1 hr)
  2. Your time this week~3 hours
    Week two

    Design and build.

Sable applies the full design across every page, builds it on Next.js with Tailwind, and populates staging with your content. You review the staging site and consolidate every note into one pass. That pass is your revision round.

    Sable delivers
    • A staging URL with every page built, responsive, and populated with your content
    • Mobile and tablet views finalized and tested on real devices
    • A 30-minute mid-project review call walking you through staging
    • A feedback template for consolidating every note into one revision round
    You deliver
    • One consolidated set of revision notes covering copy, layout, and detail changes across every page (~2 hrs)
    • Availability for the 30-minute mid-project review call
    • Any copy or imagery still outstanding from kickoff
  3. Your time this week~2 hours
    Week three

    Revision and launch prep.

Sable applies your consolidated revision round across the site, then configures on-page SEO, analytics, and the contact form and tests each end to end. The launch checklist opens Friday. Some projects land here and launch at the end of the week.

    Sable delivers
    • Your consolidated revision round applied across every page
    • On-page SEO live: meta tags, sitemap, structured data, and schema markup
    • Google Analytics and Search Console connected and verified
    • Contact form tested with live submissions to your inbox
    • A launch checklist shared Friday of week three
    You deliver
    • A final review of the revised staging site (~1 hr)
    • Domain registrar access, or the transfer authorization code, by Friday
    • Written sign-off on the launch checklist
  4. Your time this week~2 hours
    Week four

    Launch and handoff.

Sable runs the final review, points the domain, and issues the SSL certificate. The site goes live on Vercel. A post-launch smoke test runs across phones, tablets, and desktop, then you receive a handoff document and a 30-minute walkthrough of how to manage the site.

    Sable delivers
    • A live site at your domain with SSL issued and DNS cut over
    • A post-launch smoke test across phones, tablets, and desktop
    • A handoff document with every credential: Vercel, analytics, registrar, and Sanity CMS if added
    • A recorded 30-minute walkthrough of how to manage the site
    You deliver
    • Final sign-off on the pre-launch review (~30 min)
    • Availability for the 30-minute launch walkthrough
    • An hour held on launch day in case anything needs a quick call

On timing. If weeks one through three land on schedule, launch moves to the end of week three and week four closes early. Week four exists to absorb slip without moving the launch date.

After launch

The site is yours.

The site goes live at your domain. You own the code, the domain, the content, and every account created on the project. Sable's engagement ends at the handoff walkthrough unless you opt into the care plan.

The care plan is optional and month to month. It covers hosting, monthly framework updates, daily backups, continuous uptime monitoring, and two hours of content work each month. Skip it and you manage the site yourself, or hand the keys to any developer you choose.

Common questions

What buyers ask right before starting.

What happens if I'm late with copy or feedback?
The launch date moves. Sable holds the slot for two weeks past a missed milestone; beyond that, the project pauses and restarts at the next available slot. The scope and the price stay fixed. The calendar is the thing that shifts.
What if I don't like the first design?
The revision round exists for exactly this. At the end of week two, you review every page on staging and consolidate your notes into one pass; Sable applies those notes across the site in week three. Designs rarely land perfectly first, and the round is the mechanism for getting them right.
What if I need changes after the revision round?
Sable quotes further changes hourly at $125 per hour and confirms each in writing before the work starts. Keeping the revision round as one round is what makes the round mean something. Most post-launch tweaks fit comfortably inside the care plan's two hours of monthly content work.
What if the project needs to pause?
A project can pause once, for up to 30 days, at no cost. Beyond that, Sable quotes a restart fee covering rework of any stale design or dependency work. Either way, the pause date and the restart date go in writing the day a pause begins.
Who's my point of contact during the project?
One person. The same person runs your kickoff call, delivers every review, applies the revision round, and handles launch day. Email replies land within one business day, Mon to Fri, 9am to 5pm CT.
